VorZUGspunkte reward program pays off threefold Protect the climate, arrive relaxed and collect valuable VorZUG reward points at the same time. For every euro spent, passengers receive one VorZUGspunkt on their ÖBB account and can redeem it for attractive rewards. Loyalty pays off. New Cityjet double-decker in the climatic wind tunnel The new ÖBB Cityjet double-decker undergoes rigorous testing in the climatic wind tunnel in early February. The tests simulate extreme weath- er conditions such as temperatures from -25°C to +40°C or wind speeds of up to 160 km/h. Conclusion: the new train has passed another quality assurance test with flying colors. Record interest in jobs at ÖBB As early as January 2025, we were able to report record employee figures: 120,000 applications had already been received for the prior year. This trend continued and even intensified over the course of the year, with applications for 2025 expected to reach 140,000. The same trend was clear among new hires and apprentices. MAR 18 FEB 10 FEB 25 Working together to- wards textile circularity ÖBB, Austrian Airlines, City Airport Train (CAT), Post, Wiener Linien and SALESIANER are giving their uniforms a second life as part of a pilot project. Thanks to circular economy practices in action, about 50 tons of textile waste can be avoided during this pilot phase. Semmering Base Tunnel excavation completion A historic milestone has been achieved with the Semmering Base Tunnel. After about ten years of tunnelling, excavation through the mountain was completed.
