Highlights 2025 559 m passengers used ÖBB’s mobility services in 2025, of which 300.9 m were on local trains (246.1 m ÖBB excl. CAT and 54.8 m Arverio Group), 46.7 m on long-distance trains. 211.5 m traveled with the Postbus. 78.7 m t of goods were transported by the Rail Cargo Group in 2025. RCG has a presence in 18 countries and has its own traction stock in 14 of these. 48,249 employees worked for ÖBB in 2025 (as of December 31, 2025), including 2,145 apprentices in training. In addition, 164 apprentices were employed through the Allgemeine Privatstiftung für berufliche Bildung (general private trust for vocational training). 19.7 bn euros will be invested by ÖBB in state-of-the-art and efficient railway infrastructure by 2030 on behalf of the federal government.
