This corresponds to a deterioration of EUR 116.2 million. With an increase in total income to EUR2,140.7 million (py: EUR2,042.3 million), an EBIT margin of -5.9% is calculated after -0.5% in the prior year. The financial result recorded a decline from EUR -14.7 million in the prior year to EUR -9.5million. This is accompanied by EBT for 2025 of EUR -135.5million (py: EUR -24.5 million). The return on total assets was -8.2% (py: -0.6%) and EBITDA was EUR129.6 million (py: EUR147.8million). The total expenses of the Rail Cargo Austria sub-group were slightly higher than in the prior year at EUR2,266.7 million (py: EUR 2,052.1 million). The largest expense category is the purchased services. In the reporting year, these increased by 7% to EUR 1,465.8 million(py: EUR 1,365.8 million). This item includes expenses for transportation services, infrastructure usage charges including communal services and staff leasing, as well as rents for rail and road vehicles and other services. Personnel expenses increased in the reporting year to EUR 330.3 million (py: EUR 310.6 million ), and average personnel expenses per employee rose from EUR 53 thousand in the prior year to EUR 56 thousand. The ratio of personnel expenses to total income was unchanged year on year, at 15%. As in the prior year, the total cost of materials and purchased services corresponds to 71% total income. Revenue is mainly generated in Austria. Only sales of EUR 86.9 million (py: EUR 127.5 million ) were generated with companies from abroad. These mainly relate to energy supplies and the infrastructure usage charge (distance and service charge).
