This results in an increase in total income of EUR 196.3 millioncompared to 2024. With an average of 19,010 employees (py: 18,736 employees), this means income of EUR 232 thousand (py:EUR 225 thousand) per employee. The ÖBB Infrastruktur sub-group achieved an EBIT of EUR611.3 million in 2025 (py: EUR511.6 million) with an EBIT margin of 13.8% (py: 12.1%). In return, the ÖBB Personenverkehr sub-group received EUR 1,429.2 million (py: EUR 1,365.5million)from the federal government in 2025, and EUR 749.0 million (py: EUR 688.8 million ) from the federal states and municipalities. The Rail Cargo Austria sub-group receives contributions for the provision of rail freight transportation services in the production forms of single wagonload transport, unaccompanied combined transportation and rolling highway. The basis for the contributions is the “Aid program for the provision of rail freight transportation services in specific forms of production in Austria” notified by the EU. Payments in the year under review amounted to EUR153.2million (py: EUR143.0 million). The increase in federal contributions to ÖBB-Infrastruktur AG co mpared to the prior year is mainly due to the additional annuity payments for the capital expenditures in 2025. ÖBB-Infrastruktur AG is implementing a construction program of great economic importance on behalf of the Republic of Austria. The federal subsidies were granted in 2025 in accordance with the valid subsidy agreement for 2022 to 2027. The federal contribution for capital expenditures and maintenance amounted to EUR 2,120.6 million (py: EUR 2,079.7 million). The increase compared to 2024 is mainly the result of the framework plan investments implemented in 2025. However, the maintenance subsidy was reduced due to the implementation of the federal government’s savings targets. | MR15
