ÖBB-Infrastruktur Aktiengesellschaft Group Management Report | Consolidated Financial Statements 128 Target Delivering training for buyers Status Target scope The scope of the objectives covers the upstream and downstream value chain, as buyers set out the conditions for suppliers that go beyond basic requirements. The training sessions cover legal requirements, risks, the basics of public procurement law and potential sustainability criteria. In addition, the concepts described above will be discussed and examples of Best Practice in procurement will be shared. in implementation phase Methodology The content is developed on the basis of, among other things, the results of the double materiality analysis and subsequent stakeholder surveys conducted by the ÖBB Group and the ÖBB-Infrastruktur Group. Performance is tracked through target monitoring. The content is continuously updated to reflect legal requirements and feedback from stakeholders. The target was set for the first time in the reporting year. Measure Training plan & delivery Purchasing staff at the ÖBB-Infrastruktur Group receive regular training on sustainability issues. In addition, documents are available that contain important information on improving sustainability in the upstream value chain (e.g. guidelines, manuals). The scope of this analysis covers the procurement staff of the ÖBB-Infrastruktur Group, with overall management being implemented by the ÖBB Group. in implementation phase As part of the double materiality analysis, stakeholders were asked about the material sustainability risks for ÖBB in the area of human rights along the value chain. Building on this, more detailed information was gathered at stakeholder round-table discussions. The discussion focused on the key implications, risks and opportunities pertaining to the workforce within the value chain, and additional courses of action were identified. The approaches and measures were evaluated and communicated to the relevant departments. Additional measures that are already in place have been explained in the previous sections. In addition to measures that can be linked to specific objectives, the ÖBB Group and the ÖBB-Infrastruktur Group contribute through measures that have a positive impact on the value chain and the key impact (S2-A-1). These measures are set out in the following table: Other measures relating to human rights within the value chain Status Material IRO Contact point: Sustainable Procurement Team In order to coordinate sustainability in procurement, the “Sustainable Procurement Team” was established in 2023. Comprising procurement experts, the team develops, coordinates and monitors measures to enhance sustainability across the upstream and, in some cases, downstream value chain. in implementation phase S2-A-1 Further development of the tools In 2025, the “Sustainable Procurement” toolbox, the risk analysis and the guidance document were further developed to better reflect key opportunities and risks within the value chain. completed S2-A-1 External sustainability assessments for relevant suppliers External sustainability assessments cover the topics of human rights and sustainability in the supply chain and identify any weaknesses.
