Used concrete sleepers are tested and, based on their technical suitability, are reused as “construction or concrete sleepers” in ÖBB-Infrastruktur AG’s rail network. This includes concrete sleepers in mint condition that meet internally defined technical criteria. planned Methodology Internal experts and stakeholders were involved in defining the target in order to establish a path that can be implemented in practice. The target contributes to the implementation of national and international efforts in the field of circular economy and resource conservation.
