ÖBB Annual Report 2023
145 Group Management Report Österreichische Bundesbahnen-Holding Aktiengesellschaft Consolidated Financial Statements | Group Management Report 100 The overlap of the results of the technical assessment criteria and the fulfilment of the DNSH criteria, as well as the positive conclusion of the analysis of the minimum social protection standards, results in the outcome presented below for the taxonomy compliance of the ÖBB Group. As is evident from the tables, not all taxonomy-eligible economic activities are currently taxonomy-eligible. Only the determination of taxonomy eligibility is required for the four other environmental targets for the 2023 financial year. In addition, the technical assessment criteria and DNSH criteria are not (yet) being met in certain areas. The four other environmental objectives mentioned are sustainable use and protection of water and marine resources, transition to a circular economy, pollution prevention and control and protection and restoration of biodiversity and ecosystems. Taxonomy-eligible economic activities in the ÖBB Group The very broad structure of the ÖBB Group’s business activities means that 17 (py: 15) of the economic activities currently listed in the EU Taxonomy Regulation are relevant to the six environmental objectives and are therefore taxonomy-eligible.
