Being imple- mented Methodology 3) The target was set as part of the Network Development Plan (NEP 2020) and approved by the members of the Board of Management. The Network Development Plan is a key management tool that aligns market and stakeholder requirements with existing infrastructure and economic framework conditions and translates these into specific targets and actions. In 2025, users were able to enjoy 501 (py: 481) modern, accessible train stations and stops. This means the key figure is developing as planned in the direction of the defined target. Action Multi-sense principle 4) 5) A holistic and sustainable mobility offering throughout the entire ÖBB network is being ensured by taking into account accessibility planning principles. One key measure here is implementation of the multi-sense principle – meaning that at least two of the three senses (sight, hearing, and touch) must always be addressed in the information and wayfinding systems as well as structural design. Action Further technical development of the online services 5) 7) ÖBB’s online services are also being continuously improved in terms of accessibility. This further technical development ensures that services such as the website and the ÖBB app remain compatible with the legal requirements of the Web Accessibility Act. The Group complies with the legal requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). Ongoing Training 5) 6) Regular training for all employees in assisting people with disabilities helps to remove barriers, offer an inclusive and respectful service experience, and support Group-wide efforts to meet the needs of all customers in the best possible way. Ongoing Group Accessibility Platform 5) 7) The Group Accessibility Platform was founded in 2012 to ensure the uniform implementation of accessibility for mobility customers throughout the Group. As a strategic management platform, it pursues the goal of ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Experts from various sub-group companies work together here and regularly exchange information. Meetings of the Group platform are held at least twice a year to promote professional dialog.
