9 Step by step into the future Railjet upgrade for maximum comfort REFRESHING. After 15 years in service, the best-known train in the ÖBB fleet is getting an upgrade. The first fully mod- ernized Railjet train set is now the “Koralmjet,” which officially opened the Koralm Railway on December 12, 2025. The interi- or design has been adapted to match the look and feel of the most recent Railjet generation. By 2031, all 60 train sets of the existing fleet will have been refurbished. ÖBB Vorzugspunkte REWARD PROGRAM. ÖBB has now launched its “Vorzugs­ punkte” reward program. All customers who book via their ÖBB account and partici- pate in the reward program collect points. Once they have accumulated 100 points, they become eligible for the first tier of attractive rewards. Loyal and committed rail passengers can keep racking up points to earn even greater rewards.
